Course Description

We spend a great deal of our time living the fallacy that we can control others ignoring the reality that the only person over whom we can ever have complete control is ourselves.

Short of tyranny, you can never control others. However, you can learn strategies to increase your influence. In this way, you become a leader.

Excellent leadership begins with self-leadership, which is about exercising self-control and making high-quality choices.

In this course, you will learn how to master your choices so that you consistently choose the path of high-level choices instead of the low-level substitutes that many people take out of ignorance and through reactive living.

In the Torah we are commanded to choose life (Deuteronomy 30:19). Our lives are formed of constant opportunities to make choices. We choose not only what to buy, wear and eat, we also choose what to think, how to feel and what to say.

This course blends timeless Jewish wisdom with coaching themes, teaching you how to live your life consciously and reach true fulfillment by opening your eyes to the perfect control you have over your own happiness. You will learn to identify the different classes in which your behaviours fall, the universal human needs your actions are attempting to meet and examine the varying levels of happiness, where you learn to distinguish between genuine and perceived happiness.

Ultimately this course will teach you to make empowering choices and to live life intentionally and consciously.

Choosing this course indicates your ambition to live your life consciously and your striving for the fulfillment and contentment that comes from consistently productive behaviours. It demonstrates your search for tools to help you function at your best.

And it is the first of many excellent choices that you will soon be making.

Neuropsychologist, ICF member

Devorah Rabinowitz

I am a Neuropsychologist and a Life Coach with the International Coaching Federation (ICF). My personal and professional career has spanned two continents and over thirty years. I was born and raised in the United Kingdom. After qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor, I joined the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). After a career change, I studied Neuropsychology at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and currently work in the rehabilitation ward of Hadassah hospital. In a voluntary capacity, I spearheaded a global fundraising initiative, directing a multi-level team of more than one hundred volunteers worldwide and together we raised over half a million dollars for charitable causes. I have been married for over thirty years. Managing select projects, together with raising a family has necessitated a great deal of juggling and self growth. My leadership experience motivated me to help others enrich their lives through becoming exceptional leaders. My coaching approach subscribes to my philosophy that we are each a unique product of our skills, experiences, background, qualifications, strengths and talents and that by harnessing our strengths and developing our self-awareness we can maximise our potential. In this vein, in an attempt to develop opportunities locally, I founded the JCA in 2013 offering a range of live and online courses blending conventional and modern psychology with Jewish values.
